Dr. Terry A. Rondberg - a leading figure in the chiropractic
profession today - advocate, promoter, mentor, forward-thinker. His
ability to view the larger picture of an alternative health care is a road map
in his projects and accomplishments.
A
1974
graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic, Dr. Rondberg, like all new
graduates, tackled the challenge to build a successful chiropractic
health care practice. His initiative and enthusiasm for his profession
soon catapulted him as a forerunner in his field. At times he has been
labeled a maverick by critics who identify his enthusiasm and willingness to
step out of the crowd as unconventional and questionable. Confrontations
have arisen and traveled through to positive conclusions with Dr. Rondberg
's non-stop diligence to empower his profession.
It has been an evolution of communication through various medias
that Dr. Rondberg has utilized to continue to develop his campaign of
promoting chiropractic.
In 1986, Terry Rondberg founded The
Chiropractic Journal, a publication design to serve
chiropractors. Quickly he developed it into a highly respected
professional source publication. Its ideal is to promote a subluxation-free
world among all chiropractors and chiropractic students. Today the
circulation of this
quarterly
journal is 80,000. An
electronic publication of
The
Chiropractic Journal, is
available on-line as well.
Desiring to provide his peer chiropractors, other health care practitioners
and
consumers with educational resources concerning vertebral subluxation resulted in
founding The Chiropractic Alliance (WCA) in 1989. WCA is a non-profit
organization dedicated to protecting, defending and strengthening
subluxation-based chiropractic around the world. It serves as
chiropractic's only professional and consumer 'watchdog' organization
placing an emphasis on education and political action. Membership of
the WCA is throughout the United states and surrounds the globe. At
www.worldchiropracticalliance.org
you will find extensive coverage of
current news, events, resources and strong mentoring items along with extensive links
guiding
consumers as well as
chiropractors.
The WCA has been recognized as a non-governmental organization associated
with the United Nations and provides major financial support for a variety of
chiropractic research, education, public relations and legislative lobbing
programs. Terry Rondberg serves on the Board of Directors of
the WCA.
Dr. Terry Rondberg has published several books for both professional and
public audiences:
- "Chiropractic
First, The Fastest Growing Healthcare Choice Before Drugs or Surgery"
- "Under The Influence of Modern
Medicine"
-
"Chiropractic: Compassion and Expectation", co-authored with Timothy J.
Fuelling
- "CBS Malpractice Prevention",
co-authored with Timothy J. Fuelling
Dr. Rondberg
puts his communication skills to full use as a speaker at chiropractic
conventions and seminars, on college campuses and at a variety of
other chiropractic events. He has also appeared on numerous radio and
television shows
Once again Terry Rondberg pursued the cutting edge in 1998 by launching The
Journal of Vertebral Subluxation Research (JVSR),
a peer reviewed
scientific journal
dedicated to chiropractic research. To reach a greater global access,
in 2000 the journal became an electronic publication available on-line only.
JVSR publishes chiropractic articles, editorials, commentary and case study
papers.
It is a resource for chiropractic continuing education and research of
techniques; a library of scientific information developed by professional
findings which have been documented, submitted, reviewed and made available
through publishing.
"Chiropractic is the health care choice
for millions of people around the world," stated JVSR editor Matthew McCoy,
D.C. "One reason for this is the increase in research being done by our
profession which validates the effectiveness of chiropractic. But too often,
that research is difficult to find. It is our hope that the new JVSR site at
www.jvsr.com, will solve part of this
problem."
Rondberg's JVSR.com seeks doctors of chiropractic to participate in the
infrastructure of their profession by submitting their findings in case
studies and commentary.
Health Watch is published also by Dr. Rondberg as a weekly consumer
online newsletter. It is available through the WCA.
Rondberg is founder and CEO of Chiropractic Benefit
Services (CBS) Malpractice Prevention Program. Again Dr. Rondberg takes
steps to benefit his profession. A potentially devastating threat facing
heath care providers is a malpractice lawsuit.
CBS was the first -- and remains the only -- program
owned and operated by a chiropractor committed to lifetime,
subluxation-based, family wellness care. It was specifically formed to offer
subluxation-based doctors an alternative to medically oriented policies,
while still providing the best professional liability coverage available.
Dr. Rondberg serves on the Council on Chiropractic Practice (CCP) whose
mission it has been to develop evidence-based guidelines that will enhance
the practice of chiropractic. The guidelines
were developed to protect the right of any patient -- including children and
asymptomatic patients -- to obtain subluxation-based chiropractic. He
has participated in the forum Summit on Leadership; convened
by the Congress of Chiropractic State Associations, the forum included
representation of the profession's political, academic, research, and
business communities.
A dynamic doctor of chiropractic, Terry Rondberg continues to
dedicate his energies for the promoting his chiropractic profession as a
subluxation-based health care field focused on the detection and correction
of vertebral subluxation (nerve interference) for lifetime family wellness
care.
