A Survey Response Regarding the Appropriateness of Professional Practice Guidelines to Subluxation-Based Chiropractic
Christopher Kent Bio, D.C.,Terry Rondberg, D.C. Bio, Marnie Dobson Bio
Abstract

Abstract - A survey was conducted of 4,254 members of the International Chiropractors Association (ICA) of which 454 responses were received. The intent of the survey was to assess the appropriateness of the current Guidelines for Chiropractic Quality Assurance and Practice Parameters (GCQAPP) relative to subluxation-based chiropractic, and practitioner support for their putative continued development. Responses indicated a predominance of negative practice outcomes associated with the current guidelines and weak support for their continued development. Respondents indicated strong support for the evolvement of practice guidelines congruent with subluxation-based chiropractic care. Based on the survey response, it was concluded that the current Guidelines for Chiropractic Quality Assurance and Practice Parameters are inappropriate to the practice of subluxation-based chiropractic.

Key Words: Subluxation-based chiropractic, Practice Guidelines, Council on Chiropractic Practice.
