About

Scope and Aims

The continuing objective of the journal is to re-evaluate and update, at appropriate intervals, the progressive vertebral subluxation model to reflect research validating new insight.

The Journal publishes contributions germane to the concept of vertebral subluxation and the myriad variables which affect the condition. Articles dealing with the anatomical, physiological, biomechanical, philosophical, clinical, epidemiological, legal, theoretical, administrative, technical, and practice realms which relate to the progressive model of vertebral subluxation, are within the domain of its publication content.  All levels of research from double-blind randomized clinical trials to anecdotal and observational reports are considered for publication.

Current information regarding conferences, seminars, and other colloquia promoting or enhancing understanding of vertebral subluxations are also published. In addition, The Journal prints book reviews, commentaries, brief communications, research in progress, and letters to the editor.

The Journal serves as a limited source of advertising, promoting items or information which contribute to subluxation-based chiropractic. This includes, but is not limited to, products, instruments, academic positions, and practice opportunities. It is intended that JVSR serve as a medium through which new information will increase the overall understanding and appreciation of the condition of vertebral subluxation.  It is used by subluxation-based practitioners for patient education, personal edification, improvement of methods for subluxation correction, and a source of publication for case studies and other practice-related information.

It also serves in certain jurisdictions as a method of obtaining continuing education credits for relicensure.

As a cross-disciplinary journal with international distribution, submissions are encouraged from all health care and science disciplines and other areas including: the legal arena, government agencies, educational and quality of life programs from the United States and abroad.
